OMOLO

LUDOVICO

LANZA

“Trying to define music is like trying to define poetry.
It is, in fact, a happily impossible task.
Music is everything you listen to with the intention of listening to music.”

Luciano Berio

Romolo Ludovico Lanza’s artistic approach reflects a profound engagement with both classical and contemporary repertoires. He shows a particular affinity for the music of Johannes Brahms and for Italian composers, blending tradition with modern sensibilities. His performances frequently explore the dialogue between music and other art forms—literature, visual arts, and dance—crafting rich, multisensory experiences that invite audiences into a world where disciplines converge.

Romolo Ludovico Lanza is an Italian pianist with a vibrant concert career as both a soloist and a chamber musician throughout Europe. He refined his artistry under the guidance of distinguished masters, particularly in Italy, Germany, and Norway.
In addition to his work as a performer, he is a dedicated and passionate teacher.
Born in Taranto — the city between two seas — he now lives in Oslo.

Beyond performing and teaching, Romolo is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Mediterraneo Chamber Music Festival—a project dedicated to fostering cultural dialogue between Southern Italy and Northern Europe. Launched in 2025 in Pulsano, the festival presents concerts, workshops, and masterclasses that celebrate classical music while highlighting the richness of Mediterranean cultural heritage.
